Our Shipping Policy

All of Hound Couture's accessories are lovingly handmade in Lancashire. Our products are designed and handmade with great care, which takes a skilled level of craftsmanship that we don't like to rush. We pride ourselves in creating the best, not the most.

For our Collars, Leads, Bows, Bandanas, Beds and Spare Covers, please allow 10 working days for us to make your goods. We work on a made-to-order basis to limit waste, therefore your accessory is handcrafted especially for you.

We will always try our best to craft your accessories sooner than the 10 working day time frame; however, this depends on how busy our studio is.

Please note, requests for quicker production times will not be accepted in the message box at checkout. If you are needing an accessory making quicker than the 10 working days, please drop us a message before placing an order to check with us first. We will always try to accommodate requests, but this obviously depends on how busy our studio is.

For our Training Tools and Accessories, these items are ready made. They are sourced from our supplier, before being assembled in the studio, where we add on our Hound Couture hardware. Due to the ready made nature of these items, our training tools and accessories do not have our usual studio production time, therefore can be shipped straight away.

Please note, if you order a training tool alongside a 'made-to-order' item, they will be shipped together and the 10 working day time frame will still apply. Our 'Ready to Wear Collection' of ex photography samples can also be shipped straight away.

For UK shipping, all of our accessories are posted via Royal Mail Tracked Delivery for customer protection. Please provide a valid email address and mobile phone number at checkout to ensure that Royal Mail can notify you of delivery updates. Without contact information, we cannot input this into the delivery booking and Royal Mail will be unable to inform you of your delivery timeframe. Additionally, you won't have the option to choose a safe delivery location or reschedule your delivery if you are not in.

 As soon as your order is dispatched we will email you with confirmation and tracking details. After we provide this tracking, it is the customer's responsibility to track the delivery from this point. Upon delivery, a photograph will be taken by your postman as evidence of delivery. Delivery timeframes may vary across the country. We cannot be held responsible for any delays caused by Royal Mail.

• For all Dog Collars, Leads, Longlines and Toilet Training Bells: £3.50

• For Smaller Accessories- (Bows/ Bandanas/ ClickerWhistles/  Poo Bag Holders/ Dog Bowls/ Lint Removers) : £2.75

• Snuggle Beds (with cushion)  and Nest Beds: £6.99

​

• Snuggle Bed Covers (no cushion): £4.99

Please note, if you order a mixture of products, the higher rate of postage will be calculated.

For all UK orders over £100 we offer free postage

 

Please note: Snuggle Bed and Nest Bed deliveries will require a signature upon delivery. If you are not going to be at home don't worry, a Royal Mail card with a reference number will be posted through the letterbox so that you can either reschedule your delivery or collect this from your local Royal Mail collection point. Please note, we cannot be held responsible for additional shipping costs if your item is not collected from the collection point by yourself and ends up being returned back to us as a consequence. Please allow 24 hours before collecting from your local collection point after receiving your card. You will need to take appropriate I.D with you to collect.

Updated Information:International Postage

As of 13/12/2024, the new General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR) rules will come into effect. These regulations bring stricter compliance requirements for businesses shipping to Northern Ireland and countries in the European Union. Hound Couture has carefully considered all options, but at this time, as a small business, we are not in the position to employ the compliance agents needed in the relevant countries to meet these new rules. 

 

With these new regulations being introduced, along with additional issues that we have experienced in recent months when posting internationally, we have had to re-evaluate international shipping across the board.  

 

Going forward, Hound Couture will focus solely on deliveries within the UK (excluding Northern Ireland.)

 

We want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude to all of our international customers for your incredible support over the years. While we're unable to process international orders at this time, we remain hopeful that we can find a way to resume shipping globally again in the future.

Our Returns Policy

 

It is your responsibility to ensure that your dog accessories are the correct size for your dog. If you would like any advice on how to measure or questions regarding any sizing, please contact us at: sales@houndcouture.co.uk and we will gladly assist. 

 

As all of our items here at Hound Couture are made to order, we can only offer a refund or exchange if your item is damaged or faulty. In the unlikely event that your product arrives damaged or faulty this may be returned to us for a replacement or full refund- including shipping.

Please contact us at: sales@houndcouture.co.uk if you wish for this refund/ replacement. You will need to provide photographs of the faulty item and it must be returned to us within 14 days of receiving your order. We cannot accept liability for goods lost or damaged in transit, therefore we recommend that you obtain a free 'Certificate of Posting' from the Post Office when you return the item to us.

Please note that we cannot be held responsible for chewed and damaged accessories. It is the buyer's responsibility to check for any signs of wear and tear. Please stop using the product immediately if this becomes the case.
