Meet our new 'Heather' Tarras Tweed- a new addition for Spring 2024 at Hound Couture. This exquisite tweed is woven by Elliott's Shed in Langholm, Scotland, using British Wool and it's real beauty! Woven with different shades of lilac, it's striking and beautifully bold.
Choose from either a metal clasp or metal buckle with eyelet fastening. Both are available in either a rose gold or silver colourway. We also offer a black plastic clasp buckle if you have a dog that likes to do frequent swimming!
All of our collars and leads are hand-washable- just make sure that you wash in lukewarm water with a mild detergent and let your collar/lead dry flat. Please read our Wash Care Instructions tab to the right for further information.
We source the highest quality fabrics and components to ensure that your dog accessory is strong and durable. The safety of your pooch is our highest priority, which is why we spend so much time testing our products to ensure that they are suitable for use.
The hardware that we use is very high quality; made from a zinc die casting, finished with either rose gold or nickel plating. It has a mirror-like finish and an unbelievable strength- making it perfect for canine collars.
If you decide to go for our black plastic clasp, these are made from anti-freeze Acetal (down to -20 degrees), which is much stronger than common plastic clasps on the market.
Our Tarras Tweed Collars are stitched onto a matching colour polypropylene webbing for extra strength. They are also topstitched for added durability. We treat all of our collars and leads with a stain and water repellent to help keep them looking newer for longer.
All of Hound Couture's Collars and Leads are lovingly handmade in Lancashire. As we make all of our collars and leads to order, please allow 10 working days for us to make and dispatch your item. For more information please see our Shipping Information tab at the top of the site.
Our size guide in the listing photograph ensures that you can order the correct size collar for your dog. This guide illustrates how you need to measure your existing collar to establish your Hound Couture size.
Hound Couture Sizing:
Small- 8-12"
Medium- 12-16"
Large- 16-20"
Extra Large- 20-24"
We recommend that if your measurement is at the top end of a bracket (i.e 12") you should select the size up. We always recommend that a two-finger gap should fit between the collar and your dog's neck for comfort.
Please use the drop-down menu to choose which size collar and width buckle you would like. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us at: sales@houndcouture.co.uk

Wash Care
If your doggies are anything like ours, they will love to get wet and muddy! Here are some guidelines on how to wash our products.
We treat all of our collars and leads with a stain and water repellent to help to keep them looking newer for longer. The treatment prevents against any stains and makes your collar/lead easier to clean.
When you do choose to wash your Hound Couture collar or lead, we recommend a gentle hand-wash in detergent, making sure to avoid scrubbing the fabric with anything abrasive. Rinse and dry your collar or lead flat and away from high heat. Do not tumble dry.
If your dog likes swimming in salty water then we advice you to give your collar a light rinse under running water to get rid of any salt build-up.
Please note that we cannot be held responsible for chewed clasps or buckles. It is the buyer's responsibility to check for any signs of wear and tear on your collars and leads. Please stop using the product if this becomes the case.
